The Navigator serves as PetStory’s built-in discovery and lookup system, allowing players to search for specific NFTs pets or items. It acts as a transparent index for the PetStory ecosystem, helping players explore the diversity of owned assets within PetStory.

Only named pets and identified items in PetStory are visible in the Navigator’s search system.

Privacy and Visibility Modes​

Players have full control over their NFT's visibility.

Stealth Mode (Default)​

All NFTs start in stealth mode by default. In this mode, NFT remains discoverable on the Navigator so ownership and existence are acknowledged, but its stats and detailed attributes remain hidden. This ensures players can maintain privacy while still verifying authenticity.

Public Mode​

When toggled to public mode, the NFT stats become visible and searchable by other players through filtered searches. For example, when searching for pets or items with specific setups, fostering transparency, community engagement, and potential trading or collaboration opportunities.

Use Case​

The Navigator is designed to balance discoverability and player privacy. It allows the community to appreciate the diversity of PetStory’s NFTs, from godly items to highly specialised pets, while giving each player complete control over how much information they share.

This system supports both competitive and social gameplay:

  • Competitive players can keep their specialised or countermeta pets private.
  • Creative players can showcase their unique builds.
  • Players can use item filter function to search for items with specific stats and skills.

By integrating on-chain transparency with optional discretion, the Navigator reinforces PetStory’s commitment to ownership legitimacy and privacy.
